We’ve seen situations in the MCU where a certain hero dies or retires, and then there’s another character who becomes his successor.
A typical example is the case of Captain America.
And below are some new MCU characters who have the potential to become successors to their predecessors.
1. Kate Bishop could be a potential successor to Clint Barton
In Hawkeye, Clint Barton met Kate Bishop, a girl who was very good at archery.
The conflict in the Hawkeye series even establishes that Kate is skilled in fighting and archery, making her strong enough to fight criminals.
For now, Clint seems to want to focus on his family, so he may be serious about wanting to retire someday.
2. She-Hulk could be a potential successor to the Hulk
Hulk is one of the remaining original Avengers in phase 4 of the MCU.
There were even many people who thought that Hulk really needed to be replaced, because in Endgame, Hulk injured an arm from using the Infinity Gauntlet, and the wound didn’t seem to heal until Shang-
But in the trailer for She-Hulk, Banner can still be Smart Hulk and both of his arms are intact.
3. Mighty Thor (Jane Foster) could be Thor Odinson’s successor
Thor is also one of the remaining original Avengers in the MCU.
The affair with Gorr seems to be forcing Thor back into action.
With Jane Foster as Mighty Thor and Valkyrie becoming the king of New Asgard, Thor will have a replacement for his role in the MCU.
4. Clea in the comics becomes the Sorcerer Supreme, and could she replace Doctor Strange in the MCU… or become Wong’s successor?
The character Clea suddenly appeared in the mid-credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
In the comics, Clea is considered the Sorcerer Supreme after Doctor Strange dies.
