Recently, the proposal to let male students wear ao dai to salute the flag at the beginning of the week has sparked controversy and mixed debates among online users.
In Japan, the story of student uniforms is not a simple matter.
However, if we just stop at the handbag and the color of the hair tie, the story is not worth mentioning.
Although not most, however, a recent study by the Saga Provincial Bar Association on 22 public middle schools in the city showed that more than half, or 13 schools in this city, have such regulations.

The statement was contained in a report submitted by the bar association to the Saga Provincial Board of Education and local PTAs calling for reform of school rules.
Other regulations discussed in the report include a ban on `mohawk` hairstyles, disallowing students from wearing headscarves while in uniform, and different dress/hairstyle rules depending on

The bar association urges schools to consider whether the rules they introduce actually have a positive impact on the quality of education, especially in today’s times.
